Carroll Baker Music and Mem’ries Weekend
July 15 - 17, 2022
The grand opening of the Carroll Baker Mem’ries Centre was a huge success. Friends, family, and fans filled the seats of the former Baptist Church for three days, with Sunday being a gospel concert; each day was sold out and well worth the price of admission. The Friends of Carroll Baker Society are humbled by the generosity of not only community volunteers, but also the performers who travelled from near and far donating their time and expenses to help celebrate this historical event.
Special guests in attendance on grand opening day were the honourable Kim Masland MLA for Queens and Mayor of Queens Darlene Norman for assisting with the ribbon cutting and saying a few words in tribute of Carroll’s career. Dear Friend, Linda Eisenhauer, presented Carroll with a plaque to commemorate her donation of $10,000 in memory of her husband Harry, both of them devoted fans. Long time supporters of Carroll and her career; Arthur, Sandra, and Sarah Irving flew in their helicopter with 100 cupcakes to honour Carroll and celebrate Arthur’s 92nd birthday. Carroll presented him with a autographed poster of herself and Arthur at a previous Irving sponsored event. Every person involved in the culmination of this event and every person who attended the shows experienced faith, hope, and love.

FIRST PRESENTATION OF THE ANNUAL CARROLL BAKER JAM 2022
Thank you to everyone who attended and participated in the Jam and donated to the Donation Jar.
The Day was very successful with generous donations including a $500 donation from Sheldon Cohoon. In spite of Covid 19 and restrictions, practically no advertising of the event, it was more than we could have imagined.
Please note: All performers and musicians participated at their own expense, donating their time and personal costs to be a part of this historical event.
