We may have unearthed a treasure chest of Carroll Baker Inspired Gold. We think we can get our hands on a number of copies of Carroll’s first American Release LP.

If enough members were interested The Friends could act as a distributor for the sale of the album. These are still plastic wrapped but they could be opened and Carroll may be willing to personally autograph the record. Imagine that in your collection.

PAST PROMOTIONS:

Country music sensation Carroll Baker was recently successful in the purchase of an historic church in Port Medway, Nova Scotia, which is dear to her heart. Carroll was born in Bridgewater and grew up in Port Medway. The church was a significant part of her childhood until moving to Ontario when she was 15 years old. Her desire is for the building to remain a church within the community; she is hoping to add running water, electrical, washroom amenities in the landmark structure.

Help support her efforts with this fundraiser. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of my handcrafted necklaces will go directly to the Friends of Carroll Baker Society. Each pendant is unique in design, available in a variety of colours, and crafted of poured acrylic with glass finishing. The pendant is suspended on an 18” cord, which is available in 5 colours: black, dark brown, sage green, gold tone, & cream. This item is being offered at $30 Cdn which includes the cost of mailing. Your interest in supporting this worthy cause would be greatly appreciated.

EDITOR'S NOTE

Kristi's great offer arrived too late for Valentine's Day but a reminder that Mother’s Day is just around the corner. This offer will not be available long (Mother’s Day) and is limited to 40 (I think). For those of you who would like to get something tangible for your donation to the friends of Carroll Baker Society, this is the perfect way to get both. Not only beautiful and functional they are hand-made by a craftsman who wants to share her creations in a positive way. A special shout out to Kristi for making this offer available, she not only created the designs but has accepted the responsibility of taking care of orders. A very special thank you to Kristi McKenna for not only offering her handmade medallions as a fundraiser for the Society but taking on the extra responsibility of coordinating the orders, shipping, etc. Although the Mother's day promotion is now over hoping she may consider offering them again in a new promotion later in the year.

Not offerred directly through the Friend's of Carroll Baker Society we are sorry to have to report that we missed out on this one.

Available only through "Consuming Styles" and promoted through Carroll's Websites these facemasks certainly made an impact. If we had to wear a mask then these showed we could have a little fun with it all.

No longer available these masks are on their way to becoming a collectable. Hope we can find one to display in the Memorabilia Centre.
